Jeff was jumping and excited.
Jeff: oh my! A Caterpillar!
Jeff: where you come from, mister caterpillar?
Caterpillar: I am lost. I’m trying to find my way back to my owner.
Jeff: Don’t worry, you can stay with me.
Jeff picks up the caterpillar.

Jeff runs inside to show his mom his new caterpillar.
Mom: Son, what are doing with that caterpillar? Take him back outside.
Jeff: He’s my new friend! Mom, he is lost.
Mom: You cannot keep him, Jeff. Take him back outside.
Jeff: Please! Can I keep him? He is all alone.
Mom: Ask your father.

Jeff puts the caterpillar in a cage in his room.
Caterpillar: I cannot stay with you. I have an owner.
Jeff: You don’t want to be my friend?
Caterpillar: I do, but I cannot live with you. Please set me free.
Jeff: I will mister caterpillar. Let’s get to know each other first.
Page 5
Mom walks in Jeff’s room.
Jeff: Mom, the caterpillar can talk.
Mom: Stop telling tales. Did you ask your father if you can keep it?
Jeff: Not yet, mom. I will go now.
Page 6
Jeff left the caterpillar in the cage to go see his father.
Father: Hey son. What you up to?
Jeff: I found a lost caterpillar and mom said to ask if I can keep it.
Father: Sure, son, if you clean after it.
Jeff was excited. He was jumping up and down.
Jeff: Thanks dad! You are the best.

Jeff returns to his room, and the caterpillar has escaped.
Jeff runs outside and sees the caterpillar crawling away.
Jeff: Get back here!
Caterpillar: Leave me alone!
Jeff picks up the Caterpillar.
Page 8
Caterpillar: Let me go!
Jeff: Why did you leave? We are supposed to get to know each other.
Caterpillar: I don’t want to get to know a thief like you!
Jeff: Thief? What’s a thief?
Caterpillar: Stealing something that doesn’t belong to you! You stole me!
Jeff: Well, I’m sorry. I just wanted a friend.
Page 9
A young boy walks in the yard.
Boy: My caterpillar! Give me my caterpillar!
Jeff: No finders keepers!
Caterpillar: He stole me! Help!
Boy: Give him here!
Page 10
Jeff’s mom walks outside to see what all the noise was about.
Mom: What is going on out here?
Boy: He has my caterpillar!
Jeff: it’s not yours!
Mom: Jeff, give the boy his caterpillar right now.
Jeff: This is not fair!
Page 11
Jeff gives the boy his caterpillar. Jeff was very sad.
Mom: You did the right thing, Jeff.
Boy: Don’t be sad. Maybe tomorrow I can stop by, and you can play with him.
Jeff had a bright smile on his face.
Jeff: Really?
Caterpillar: Huh?
Boy: Yeah. We’ll stop by tomorrow.
Page 12
It was the next day, and Jeff was sitting on his steps, and the boy was arriving.
Boy: Hey Jeff!
Jeff: Hey! What is your name?
Boy: Mike.
Jeff: Where is your caterpillar?
Mike: He over there on the flower. He blossoms into a butterfly.
Mike was pointing at the butterfly.
Jeff: Wow, so cool!
Page 13
The butterfly flew on Jeff’s nose.
Jeff starts to giggle.
Mike: You see Jeff. You bloom just like him.
Jeff: Thank you Mike.
Mike: Thank you for giving him back to me. You have a good heart, Jeff.
Jeff: Thanks! I am happy that you came back and still let me play with him, even though I didn’t deserve it.
Mike: Everyone deserves second chances.
Jeff smiles.

Good job Jeff!
Prabir did an excellent job on my children’s book. He responds to feedback very quickly and his attention to details is great. I will work with him again in the future and highly recommend.
Another great job. I am always pleased with your attention to details and knowledge of my characters. You always deliver in plenty of time to give me a chance to review.
This is my 6th book with Prabir and I am always pleased with the results. My books are absolutely beautiful. Prabir works diligently to make sure the book is exactly what I want. I know that children, teachers and parents will enjoy the story and pictures. Great job!
